Requestor: Lance Safford Persons Inquired: Alonzo M Laporte (son) Towns: Sackets Harbor and Watertown Query: I'm looking for birth, baptismal, or other descent records for Alonzo Martin Laporte. Family lore has him born in Sackets Harbor, NY on April 27, 1827. The family left New York in 1838 and went to Sugar Grove, Illinois and eventually to Paw Paw Township, Illinois in 1845. Thanks for checking in Tom. No I have not gotten any responses. I've been searching for birth records or baptismal records for Alonzo for some time and have not come up with anything. Maybe there's nothing there.
