Jonathan Mitchell, 1802-1865« Back to Previous Page

Searching for father of Jonathan Mitchell, b Sackets Harbor, NY Jonathan had a son named Menzo White Mitchell, born in Winfield, NY. This leads me to believe that Menzo may have been named after someone with the last name of White, but perhaps this was just a popular name of the time. To my knowledge, no records of Jonathan's parents have been found. Jonathan later moved to Michigan and died in the Manchester area.

I have not had any response to my inquiry. To date, I still have no leads on Jonathan Mitchell. However, I still believe it is no coincidence that he named his sons after brothers (surname White) that lived in his area. I will continue to search for Jonathan’s parents.
